As I write this letter I can not help but ponder the crossroads America has come to, and how the choices today will have long lasting repercussions on the future of our great American experiment.

The wrong choices can lead America into socialism, economic despair, and the dissolution of the ideals and principles our great nation was founded on. In order to preserve these ideals, principles, and the vitality of America it is imperative that the Executive branch of our government remain in the hands of the Republican Party.   

It is my belief that by placing Mitt Romney on the GOP ticket, John McCain will increase his chances to win in November. With Romney, McCain will have at his side a proven executive. Mitt Romney knows how to accomplish daunting tasks. He has demonstrated spectacular results in government as Governor of Massachusetts and as a successful businessman in the private sector.

Mitt Romney will unite the GOP. He will be a catalyst that will ignite Conservatives and garner their support. His vigor and commitment to conservative economic principles and social values will galvanize the GOP into a formidable union of security, economic, and values based supporters. This is the coalition that Ronald Reagan built, and it will be crucial to recreate this coalition if we are to be triumphant in ’08.

John McCain has served his country well. He is a patriot and a warrior. These qualities are invaluable when leading America through these tumultuous times. Alas, our nominee has been a Senator for 26 years. As a Senator he has to compromise with people of divergent views. This is the essence of a legislator. Executives are not bound to such protocols.  

As a former military officer John McCain should draw on his experience. He is fond of talking about leadership and tactics. Two important rules in military tactics are not to divide your forces, and keep the morale of your troops high. John McCain has the ability to bolster the support for his candidacy and energize the base of the Party with one bold move. It is urgent that he ask Mitt Romney to join him and unite our Party!  

John McCain brings military expertise to the ticket. Romney adds economic expertise and solid supply side credentials. Mitt also delivers the vitality and savvy to win any debate on economic principles and the knowledge on how to strengthen the economy. If America is to continue to be free and prosperous she will need the unique qualities that both of these fine men can offer on the GOP ticket.

In conclusion, I believe that the choice for a brighter future is clear. It lies in the hope that John McCain will see the wisdom in partnering with Mitt Romney. Together they offer the promise of unity, succession, prosperity, and victory!

I am asking these men to forge a bond together so that they will unite the Republicans, the Independents, and the Reagan Democrats. I proclaim that united we stand! I implore you to unite our country and unite the GOP!
